The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is a non-profit professional association serving the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. The organization has been supported for years by the Geistlich family via the Osteo Science Foundation. The foundation was initiated in 2013 by Dr. Peter Geistlich with the mission of further innovating the use of regenerative medicine within oral and maxillofacial surgery and improving patient care.
The Special Citation Award was presented to Dr. Andreas Geistlich during the opening ceremony at the AAOMS 105th Annual Meeting in San Diego, California. The event brought together leaders and professionals from the Oral and Maxillofacial community to celebrate his remarkable achievements and contributions.
